Do
you know what God has to say about money?
Many
people believe that Money and God do not mix. If you are one of those who
believe this you will have internal conflict between your need to serve God
and your need to build wealth. Such conflict should not exist in the first
place.
It
is the will of God that you manage the resources he has entrusted to you. In
fact he wants you to multiply the resources and make them grow. Consider the
parable of the talent in the Bible. The master rewarded the servants who
were able to double the talents entrusted to them. This is what the master
actually said:
“Well
done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things,
I will make you ruler over many things.”
- Matthew 25:21
And
to the servant who did not manage his talents well, he punished him and took
away the little he had. He said of him:
"For
to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but
from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away"
-
Matthew 25:29
From
the above statements it is obvious that those who do not manage their
resources well will have little and even the little they have will end up in
the hands of those who are able to manage their resources better.
This
is exactly what happens when you have bad credit with a high consumer debt.
You will work hard every day only to spend all your income paying interest
to other people.
“Come
now, and let us reason
together, says
the Lord...... If
you are willing and obedient, you
will eat the best from the land.”
-
Isaiah 1:18,19
